ABOUT

Rodrigo no pinta ideas. Pinta los mecanismos que las despiertan.

Rodrigo Alejandro is a Venezuelan-American visual artist who explores the thresholds between the subconscious and the conscious, between free-flowing intuition and geometric structure. He was born in Florida (USA) in 2001, and at the age of three moved to Venezuela, the country where he grew up, was shaped, and absorbed the language of color, form, and observation. His mother—an artist and disigner —and his father—an analyst and accountant—embody the two driving forces present in his work: creative impulse and the search for order.

It does not aim to represent the external world, but to provoke an internal resonance—an intimate, abstract, and nonverbal response. The viewer is not meant to “understand” the piece, but to feel it.

His style takes shape through abstract compositions on raw canvas, wood, and even metallic structures. He works with acrylic, vinyl, and mixed media to build a personal language—one where geometry is not order, but code; and chaos is not disorder, but origin.

Rodrigo  proposes a  movement: Concinesismo—an art that is not meant to be explained, but recognized. One that seeks to awaken. One that resists singular interpretations and instead activates internal processes in those who engage with it.

In 2024, ROLO returned to Venezuela to reconnect with his roots and share his work with the country where his artistic identity was born. His vision is clear: to develop an unmistakable style, recognizable without a signature, and capable of speaking to the universal through the abstract.

Rodrigo does not paint ideas. He paints the mechanisms that awaken them.
